This blog is all about, how I got my first badge on my WordPress profile? I have used WordPress for many of my projects, but never gave anything back to it. So I thought to do something for WordPress and it’s community.
I was already a member of local WordPress community called Bengaluru WordPress, which is the official WordPress community in Bengaluru (Bangalore), also part of the WordPress official slack channel. One fine day I noticed some messages in the slack group regarding WordPress translation day. Then I read through all the information about the translation day and discussed this in the local community group. Everyone accepted this proposal and decided to host this translation with the community members.
We have created a meetup event and my company (Gyanmatrix) proudly hosted this event in our office at Electronic city.

12 WordPress enthusiastic people were gathered to give back something to WordPress. We did translated more than 1000 words from morning 11 AM to evening 4 PM.
